Ellen was a very special person. I knew her first as my student at Southwestern College and later as a vibrant and dedicated professional in my field. She was kind, went out of her way to help anyone, and she was brilliant. I offer my deep condolences to her family. I was shocked to hear of her passing. I will never forget her warm smile and her zest for everything she undertook with her hard work.
